Our kitchen remodel began with the demolition of a 25 year old 9x10 dilapidated kitchen. The new kitchen required the removal of
the 3 walls of the old kitchen, including busting into the old dining room. The result is a large, beautiful, well functioning
kitchen with 4 new windows and a new door, leading to a new deck. It also includes a new 5 x 5 walk-in
pantry, a butler’s pantry and bar area leading to the dining room, new bookshelves and a baker’s pantry.
We designed a two-cook kitchen for Bruce and me, creating dual workstations, which works beautifully.
Bruce and I cook together all the time, and wanted separate work areas, so we had room to move.
Bruce is tall, so his counters have been elevated to 40". The kitchen is our pride and joy and source
of continual adventure and amusement!

The sunroom addition was part of the larger kitchen remodel project. It measures 18' by 18'
with a 12' vaulted ceiling and six skylights. The staircase to the right leads down to a small
basement and storm shelter.
This room will brighten the cloudiest of days and make happy the soul!

Rick Bayless, Paula Wolfert and so many others.
Cooking is a wonderful hobby for us and
something we truly enjoy doing together. In 2004, we remodeled our old burnt-out kitchen and built
this magnificent space for creative cooking. We've enjoyed experimenting in everything
from high end French Cuisine to Charcuterie and Sausage Making, bread baking of all
kinds and experimenting with Patisserie.
